Anyone know where I can get this emblem so I can replace my leaper? Has anyone done it? Appreciate any assistance...

I don't know, but as soon as you find one let me know. That is the PERFECT emblem to go on the jag.... I needs it.

 

I want one too! My leaper was stolen and I've been afraid to replace it. That's the perfect solution.

I suspect the particular hood/bonnet badge, as viewed on my attachment, belongs on a later model XKR but I still can't chase it down. I do appreciate the two links which didn't locate the one I'm looking for.

Has anyone ever seen this badge before and where did ya see it?

The badge I'm looking for is found on a 2006 XKR Victory Edition. Now I have to find a supplier and when I do I will let you know who, where and how much...

The badge is from a 2006 XKR Victory Edition. The part number is C2N3703 and cost me with a slight discount from the Canadian Jag dealer $120CDN - with shipping and taxes total $142.24CDN. Now I won't have to look at that cat's butt while I'm driving and no more theft damage after two stolen leapers.

Money well spent...

Easy to install and I would suspect screw up if one is not careful. Unbold the plastic nut underneath the hood. Warm the Leaper and base with a hair dryer. Use dental floss to cut the double adhesive underneath. Give it a couple of light rocks side to side. Off it comes. Use some fine cut polish over the area after using some goof off to remove the leftover adhesive. Cut the little tab off the bottom of the new badge with a dremel as it is in the wrong place for the two holes you are left with on the hood.

Pull off the tape on the bottom of the badge and lower the larger tab into the big hole. Hold down for a minute. Polish up the area you cut polished. Done...

That is indeed an XK badge ive seen them before, might even be the last update 05+ Rs or on the special editions.

 

Do you care if I steal your idea? I think that looks fantastic! I want one on my STR now. And no more having to deal with jerk offs stealing my leapers. You rock! Thank for sharing.

Nice choice searanch.....much beter than the leaper IMO.
I love and adore the leaper on the older classic Jags, where they really look the part, but not on todays Jags for me.
I saw an X over here with that emblem and it looks great, understated, simple, just really worked
