There is a hose that looks to be a heater hose near the right side O2 sensor in the photo that is leaking at the joint to a hard pipe. I am not sure hw this is clamped to the pipe but am wondering if there is a solution other than replacing the heater hose which looks to have multiple sections and is probably quite expensive.
Can I somehow remove the existing clamp and use a regular hose clamp? Not sure how this existing clamp even works
I am sure others have dealt with this before.
Thanks
That is the infamous octopus heater hose. That's a normal clip. Yes, you can cut that out and replace with a regular clamp. I would still do the hose because it's likely on it's way out.
The hose part number is: MJA6728AC
OEM is $355, aftermarket is $270 on SNG Baratt. A silicone hose replacement is available from Swallow's Racing for £172.
Thanks @giandanielxk8 Now to figure out how to remove the existing clamp and so I can put on a regular hose clamp temporarily to move the car.
I ordered a new hose but need a temporary fix.
@michaelh Not sure what a valley hose is nor what is needed to replace them. Care to educate me? THanks
