Has anyone heard of runners inside of the intake manifold? I have been told one of my Inlet Manifold Tuning Valve runners may be broke and rattling around inside my intake manifold. I have also been told it cannot be repaired. The entire intake manifold needs to be replaced. Please scroll thru the description below.

 

"Intake runner flap"?
Nearly every intake ever made by anyone has runners, those go from the plenum to the intake ports. But a flap??? Not saying there isn't one, but I've never seen anything that would be a flap inside an intake.

 

Ya. I imagine it has more than one name. As I understand it, it lengthens and shortens the intake runner based on RPM and other factors.
