$1500 brake pad/rotor estimate
Trying not spend what my local vintage Jaguar shop charged me for new brake pads/rotors for my 98 XJ8 VDP. Any recs for reputable brands that sell the parts together as kits?
Although you will probably also get help here, I think that you would get more help if you post your question in the correct forum. This is the forum for the X350-X358, built from 2003 onwards.
Regarding your question itself, I do not know whether there are companies in the US that sell complete kits. Here in Germany, even if parts suppliers sell both rotors and pads, you have to order them separately, also because there are many combinations that you can order. And yes, the price difference between Jaguar and OEM equipment is huge, app. 2000 EUR at Jaguar vs. app. 500 EUR for OEM parts...
Good luck!
Best regards,
Thomas

For what it's worth I recently did this job and spent $420 on a Brembo Prime Rotor + Ceramic Pads kit from Rockauto.
Great so far and I used a brake piston kit from Harbor Freight to do the job. I used the workshop manual and it was all pretty typical. The parking brake was the only model specific thing, use your choice of AI to find a thread discussing the specifics for your model.
Definitely recommend a n95 mask and safety glasses though as you clean the caliper bracket, a lot of metal brake dust will kick up and it can't be good to breathe that.
