Title is misleading.... XK? XKR?? Not an XK on the planet worth close to that.
Do you have a link?
All the age stuff would need to be changed, unless that's already done. A person can buy an R-S for that money, with only slightly more miles.

All I’m thinking is, why buy a brand new $100k car to only enjoy it for 1,000 miles over 12 years then sell it?

These cars are meant to be driven.

In this situation it was purchased as a gift for a car collector of Jaguars...part of a personal collection. Some people collect 'Jags'. Most of us end up putting our collections of stuff in storage units.

Fair. I just can't imagine owning one of these and not driving it.
Going to go see and test drive it this weekend I think. I'll ask about the aged perishable parts and maintenance history of course.

You’re going to go and see a car that was already sold on BAT?
Maybe you’ve posted in the wrong thread?

I was thinking about the first year depreciation of this XK. Assume the owner drives it 20K miles, it becomes a 20~25k car...50+% in the first year!
wow

I wish that applied to all the Mercedes. The only thing I'd consider over my jag is the AMG GT/GT S 2-door.
Bunch of my local car club buds have variations of it. Just gorgeous.
But still sits in the near to 6-figure range, even for a 5-7 year old well cared for and low miles.
Not in my wheelhouse quite yet.
