2014 Jaguar T Type V6S Automatic -need to find rear differential with 3:31 gear ratio
Hi, please help to find what is the OEM Jaguar part number for 2014 F Type V6S 380hp automatic rear differenital, the original one says the gear ratio is 3:32, but the part dealer provided by looking my VIN had 3:15 gear ratio.this is the number on the original part on my car EX53-4A213-AA 3.31 , but Jaguar's later superseded catalog numbers and per dealer parts department the part they provided was T2R81338, but when it was delivered it said gear ratio 3:15 on it. Please advise what current part number do i need to look up from the dealer that would fit my 2014 V6 S with gear ratio 3:31.
Ok let me load up the work laptop, wasn't expecting you to reply so quickly lol
Looks like the current # is T2R4000, which superseeds from the T2R81338 you have.
The option are :
I do not see on your build sheet where your car was fitted with a locking diff, it appears to be an open diff car and the 3.15 would be correct. Was it previously replaced with the 3.31?
Actually I think they are all limited slip, based on the notes in EPC. Topix says the open diff is 3.31 also if you read the descriptions, but on the specs page I copied it shows it as 3.15. I'm not sure what to say on this one. You seem to have the correct part #, but not getting the right part.
Thank you so much for your research. I bought the car used , I have it for the last 3 years ,but I don't think ot was previously replaced, as I bought the car with only 40k miles on it. When the mechanic installed a 3:15 ratio diff ,the dash showed the traction light on the dash and he told me that the transmission changed to emergency kode and wouldn't let the car to accelerate with higher revs. And he says that the one he removed from my car has 3:31 ratio with LSD. So the part number I have shpyld have 3:31 ratio with LSD or it is actually 3:15 with open diff? My mechanic says we need tind the part number that has LSD 3:31 ratio.
If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

The catalog notes say limited slip, so I agree that the part you ordered should be a LSD diff, and should be the 3.31 ratio your car calls for. Where did you get the diff from, new from Jag? Does it have that engineering number on it?
