Default Convertible roof operation
Is it possible to open and shut the roof manually?ie by hand? If so can someone explain the procedure please . Many thanks

Find the pump in the boot on the right side near the front, above the battery. Turn the valve on top of the pump to manual. The roof can be easily raised and lowered then.

Many thanks for that. Would the pump have suffered any damage if the hood had been forced back by say a gust of wind? Once again thanks

you might want to say what year and 12 or a 6. My '92 facelift had the pump under the rear storage compartment. Not the boot/trunk

The pump will be in the rear storage box then. Do you have the handbook ?

I haven't seen the car yet. It got delivered while I'm on holiday . I've got to wait a few more days
