Default Windshield wiper motor bracket

Question..........

Form some reason the bracket holding the windshield wiper motor is gone. Can I use an XJS windshield wiper motor bracket in my 1994 XJ81 sedan?

Default Windshield wiper motor bracket

Hello everyone,

So on my 1994 Jaguar XJ81 V12, it appears that the windshield wiper motor bracket is missing. Ive seen brackets for windshield wiper motors off of XJS for sale on ebay, can I use that on my car?

Hi Eric,

I'm pressed for time but you can look up the parts diagrams and part numbers for the two different models at jaguarclassicparts.com to see what the likelihood is that the XJS bracket could work on your XJ40.

Cheers,

Don

I doubt it. It's probably a different motor what with the xjs having that unusual set up of 2 wipers.? Try the Jaguar heritage site. They have all the parts listings with numbers, that will tell you for sure.

I would suggest taking a photo of where you think this missing bracket is supposed to fit and upload it here so we can see what you are talking about.
And Jerry is correct, the windshield wiper mechanism on the XJS is totally different than the XJ40/XJ81 cars.

Eric,

I moved your post on the same topic from your other thread to this one so all your posts related to the windshield wiper are in the same thread.

Cheers,

Don
