AJ27 Timing tool set in the South West?
Hi All,
I'm about to replace all the timing chains, guides and tensioners on my 2001 XKR and am wondering if there is anyone in the Cornwall / Devon area who would be prepared to loan or hire the timing tools needed to do this job. I'm thinking something like the Laser kit, part number 5147.
The kits are available to buy but it will add another £150 - £200 to the job which I'd rather avoid if I can.
Any help would be much appreciated .

Hi Andy - I am sorry you have not had a response :-( I know your request is area specific, but this is a kit that could be moved by post from anywhere - have you tried posting this request in the XK/XKR model specific area? You may well find more people there with the kit, and a better chance of borrowing or hiring it..
