Default cats suspension compressor for xj6 x350 wanted please

Does anyone have a spare compressor for the suspension on a '03 XJ6 3.0? Or does anyone know where I can source one at a reasonable price? I'm in the UK, Blackpool.

The air suspension compressors are freely available on the internet for about £300 most being on a service exchange basis.

I would not bother with a used one, as they are a short life component. I assume your's is knackered.

Well there is no sound from releasing air. just gonna try a cheep compressor and change a rear height sensor. if still not working i'll stick the car on ebay for quick sale or swap. i'm disabled (confined to wheelchair) so i need a reliable car. it seems these are plagued with air suspension problems.

Well I wouldn't say these cars are "plagued" with air suspension problems, but it is well known that the compressor doesn't last long. Apart from this there are not all that many other weak links, although clearly damage could occur to the height sensors. What is your fault symptom ? What message are you getting on the annunciator.

There are no messages at all. Prior to this I had the odd air suspension fault when rear right corner dropped in wet weather. It popped back up in dry weather. A guy fitted my driver handcontrols last week, he took out knee pad and steering wheel while fitting controls but that cant really effect anything. Previous owner said he never had any problems.
