Hey everyone!

Just been to look at a 3rd jag today and finally put a deposit down.

Jaguar xtype 2.5 v6 sport
51 plate
78k
Fsh
Red leather
Built in satnav, DVD, radio
And all other bells and whistles

Comes with 6 months tax, 12 months tax ad 3 months warranty.
Paid £2495

Am I right in thinking this is a rare spec?

Anything I should look out for in the first few months of owning it?
I look forward to beig part of the forum and keeping you up to date and the progress of the car.

Cheers

Charlie

Hello & welcome , nice to see you here . Sport isnt all that special , but you have some nice extas . I got a 2 owner from Auction, Classic model 49.000 on a 02 plate.Paid £1500. 6 months ago.

Beware the Sport has stiffer suspension & low profile tyres on bigger wheels . Watch out for crashy harsh ride . Dont hit pot holes you could crack the alloys ??

Big bonus !!! 4x4 , sticks like glue & the 2.5 should give you 30mpg on a nice run .

Hi there,
It sounds like you got a fair price.. brought mine almost a year ago now.. 02 plate, 89000 on the clock at the time - the classic with a tape player :-) ( thankfully a 6 CD Kenwood changer added by prev owner for £1900..

Charlie,

Regardless of what the Service History says, I always do the full schedule of service items on a new (to me) vehicle.

It gives a baseline and covers anything which may have been missed in the past. Also a good way of getting to know the vehicle.
