Hi Steve,
My apologies for delay in responding but our glorious weather has created chaos with Surreys grass roots football fixtures and am only just getting my head above water (!?!).
I would prefer later in May rather than the earlier dates, but with school half term starting the last weekend may be problematic for some?
Whatever the date I will do my best to attend (with my OBDII code reader and happy to plug in for whoever wants).

If we can get the numbers up, and with this meet being in warm weather (one Sunday in May) and more tourists in Brighton I am hoping we can swing something with Jaguar for the day...

Just so you know who has indicated an interest (in no particular order) in attending on the day, so far it looks like this....

Having looked at the diary, the 25th would be the best for me and being a Bank Holiday weekend should attract a good crowd to Brighton.

No problem Doowopfix.. all amended. Inside the next week or two I'm going to need to set the most popular date and see who else can switch to that date from the others...

 

Anyone else wanting to come along please put your name forward and I will add you in, and any one who has yet to say what dates they could make please let me know.. In a couple of weeks I'll need to get the advertising on the go, and see if I can get members of any other forums interested in coming along.. *plus* I'll need to see what I can swing with us with Jaguar, or the local dealer ...

This weekend we had a taster of the weather we will hopefully have in May - If you live in the south east of the UK and would like the chance to clean and polish your Jag and show it off at the seaside with the Brighton promenades as the backdrop with just beach in front of you - with other like minded people with everything from basic 2.5 X-Types through to the supercar Jags why not put your name up on here, along with what date(s) you could make and come along and join in.. meet the people you see on here, see their cars, have a big breakfast at a café on the seafront.. and just have a Jaguar Forums version of a Top Gear meet :-)

Hello Steve,
I'd like to drive down and join you in Brighton (from Norfolk) and meet up with some of the other members. I thought I'd make a weekend of it and drive to Crawley on the Saturday, stay in a hotel overnight and then meet up with you all on the Sunday morning for the drive to Brighton (shouldn't get lost then) Have a good day in Brighton then back to the Hotel and then drive home on the Monday. So once I know for sure the date (25th would be fine for me) and where in Crawley you'll start I can make all arrangements. My wife would be with me and the car is an 2002 XK8 coupe. Be good to give the Jag a nice long drive, does that sound OK?

Hi Bob - you would both be very welcome to come along.. I am not sure (yet) of exactly how many people will be coming on the day, but the figures against each day are likely a fair guide.. If you do travel to Crawley it is quite well placed to access most of the places to see in the area - please drop me a line with your email address and I'll try to point you at the possible locations to visit depending on what you are both into..

My Jag has been sold now.

I'm now in a Golf TDI.

As long as I'm not away for work, I'd still like to come. Got to get myself a ride in those "charged" animals.

Mike - if you can get to my place on the day you can hitch a lift to the Crawley-Brighton Convoy start and I'm sure someone there will happily give you a ride down to Brighton :-)
