UK South East Meet Spring/Summer 2015 in Brighton
A HUGE thankyou to everyone who came to the Bi-Annual Brighton Convoy & Meet!!
It was for me a fantastic day, and it was great to see the prize draw prizes so well received, and the prize E-Type going to a good home! :-)
I will try to get a synopsis of the day online over the next few days, but tonight am concentrating on trying to get my pictures up for everyone. Anyone who managed to get shots I missed *please* put them up or email them across to me (or both lol).
As you all know this was the very last Bi-Annual event I am currently running, but don't worry I am already starting to brew on our next Annual event :-) Lots of ideas - and also VERY open to suggestions, ideas and anything I can do to make the day even better and bigger for everyone so any thoughts or ideas drop me a line and I will honestly see what I can do.
It's a year till the next one but a thread will likely appear soon lol - so keep an eye out for it :-) our sponsors
Meanwhile thankyou everyone for making it a great day. Special thanks to our sponsors SNG Barratt & Harwoods Jaguar Brighton aka Tony, The Guardian & Ngarara and everyone that helped me make the day go smoothly.
Pictures following in the next few posts (slowly on a laptop on wireless :-( )

I take this one onboard, in that if you arrive much beyond 9am the parking is difficult and definitely could be cheaper, but it is a trade off as we have the promenades as the backdrop, and the road to Brighton is much easier going than the road to Eastbourne.. as I said at the meet - I am open to all good and bad feedback and any thoughts or ideas people may have for our next (much bigger :-)) meet..
Hi, enjoyed the show yesterday, but not the lack of available parking, that was a bit of a scrum for those not arriving before the general public descended.
However, I parked illegaly for a few minutes and got to look at some of the nicer cars, and had a quick chat with one or two people, including another Alan, who had a very nice metallic green XJ 2.7. I asked him what was the shade, but he told me Botanical Green- which is the same as my XKR convertible, and nothing like the same colour. We couldn't find his spec. tag, so I'm hoping he'll post it on the forum ( are you out there Alan from the Dark Side?)
I would have loved to stay, but couldn't get parked properly, and having just paid the thieving Brighton Council 30 quid for the pleasure of parking outside my own business in Brighton, I went back to sunny Eastbourne, where the parking is so cheap and available, you may wish to consider it for next year.
Thanks, Alan Briggs (Botanical Green 07 XKR convert.)

Hi Steve, it is what it is my friend, you did a sterling job, literally hundreds of unpaid man hours, emails, pm's phone calls, visits here n there to collect or drop stuff off and so much more......
I'm sorry Alan, but it is impossible to please everyone all of the time, we do our utmost to do what we can and in the main, most everyone fully appreciates that.
Imo - considering the day was about as FREE as you can get, it's a no brainer.

Something we need to encourage people to do - get the Pay By Phone app on their smartphones & set up an account. The queuing for those who had to pay using cash or card looked a pain, especially as one of the machines wasn't working properly (and it was the same in December).
OK Guys, I am just starting to get back up to speed after a week off from work and the forum..
A lot more to come next week.. meanwhile I have compiled all the photos that have been put up by everyone here : http://1drv.ms/1FlrNND
Please feel free to have a browse :-)
