I have increasing problems with the rear ABS sensors. At each annual service the garage has wirebrushed the reluctor ring but it is now getting/has got to the end of its useful life. Many cars have this problem and it can be solved by replacing the reluctor ring with an aftermarket ring. For example the Jaguar X Type can be purchsed for circa £12. Jaguar however, advise me that I must purchase two new half shafts at a cost of over £3000 plus fitting. Has anyone a solution to this problem please?
