thanks very much to all who have posted me since I joind three days ago.i have really been impressed with your interest an concern. I am old and very green about my jaguar and will probably many questions. don't know much as yet about your jargon will pick up some as I go.thanks a gain Charles smith

Just don't leave your spanner under the bonnet or you may have to look in the boot for a spare.
