Default Hello Floridians!

I recently posted about my X-Type not starting and I wanna thank all those that replied with helpful ideas. However, I ended up taking it to the dealer. I was told that I had a bad key transmitter and I had to replace the entire Instrument Cluster! Also, the Gearbox Switch was bad. They wanted $3800.00 for the parts and the labor. I obviously cannot afford that amount right now. I did a search and found the instrument cluster on Ebay for $125.00 (In really great shape) and I bought the Switch from the dealer ($80.00) Does any one know where this switch is? I planned to change it myself and I can use all the help. One more thing... Will I need a 12 point torx set (or allen) when replacing the instrument cluster? Thanks!

If anyone is interested, I just replaced the instrument cluster and the neutral switch (gearbox) by myself. I'm not a mechanic, but I was able to get an idea from reading different threads on this site. THANKS!!

If anyone needs to do this is really simple. Write me and I will pass along instructions.
