Default Looking for Transmission Specialist in Asheville, NC area

Recently bought a 2003 XK8 with 76,000 miles. Transmission lurches. Don't have records past 50,000 miles so not sure if the trans fluid has been changed. Could be something else, so need a diagnostic. Looking for a mechanic that's familiar with the ZF transmission within an hour of Asheville. The transmission specialist at the local Jag Dealer is no longer there. And several people that have been recommended have retired. I would appreciate a recommendation!

Maybe some reading of this will help direct you to someone else other than Jag for this. I'm pretty sure you folks have a Ford dealer on one side or the other of The Tunnel.

if your ever in the CLT area I've got IDS and a VCI.. always can try to update your software first.. I would definitely do a fluid, filter, and pan change. All in all a couple hundred dollars, but a neccessity if you plan to keep driving the car
