Hey Folks:
We are trying to get a small Rallye together. Start with a meet at the New River Jaguar dealership for a look at the new J type and maybe other cars with the dealership having some doughnuts and coffee. Then a ride over to Ridgeland SC for a lunch at a Cajun BBQ place. This would be on Saturday September 29. Who would be interested? I need to have a head count for the delaership and to make reservations at the BBQ/Cajun restaurant. A great chance to meet other Jag owners in the area and have some fun and food.

How big of an event do you think this could be? It would be amazing to see alot of enthusiasts gathered together. Hopefully this comes together really nice.

I'm not sure if old house smoke house is open for lunch.......could be wrong.....it has been a while....if we have enough cigar smokers, I can get something going with my local shop to have some out at the dealership for this....

I think you meant F type as well......I doubt they'll have one by then as it's only two days past the official unveiling.......I can ask David Boles when I talk to him Monday about his service writer and technician lying to me about brake pad measurements.....

I have talked with the jaguar dealership and they have agreed to host at 10;00 am on the 29th. We then need to figure out a place to eat, if the BBQ place isn't open we can consider the place in Ridgeland on the pond or we can hit Hilton Head or even in downtown Savannah. I am in a car club in Savannah and some of them are interested. We just finished a rallye today down to jacksonville to Brumos Museum and some good BBQ. Hopefully we can get a good crowd and this is a good start.
What I have so far is that the dealership will host us at 10:00 AM and then I am looking at us doing a caravan to Jaspers Porch in Ridgeland for lunch. They have a great buffet and are right off I-95 exit at Ridgeland on a pond with some nice outdoor seating. Those in Savannah we can hook up around 9:15 and caravan to the dealership together. The dealership also owns the Porsche and Audi dealerships so they may coordinate for us to look at multiple types of cars. I am assuming we will be able to head our own ways by no later than 1:00 depending on how long everyone wants to hang out at the restaurant. More to follow as I get more information.
I think we will have a decent crowd, I am 51 so a bit older than ya'll. I am in the Oglethorpe Driving club and I have invited them as well. I still need to call Jasper's Porch to confirm that we will be coming although since they are a buffet it shouldn't be a big deal. I was waiting to see if there were any other suggestions for lunch that anyone thought would be more interesting. I have eaten there and it is good and nice pond. if anyone is in Savannah we can meet up downtown and caravan over to the dealership together.

Just seeing if we can get anyone else on board for the rallye? Right now I think we have about 6-7 cars and around 12 people. Would love to have more people. the jaguar dealership will have techs there to talk with us along with of course some great jags. The dealership also has other dealerships right next door that are Porsche's, Audi's and other cars as well. Afterwards we go to a restaurant in a caravan.
