Tampa Bay British Car Club and Friends:

Sunday May 22 was the Florida Suncoast MG Car Club’s Car Show at Jack’s London Grill. The “Pat The Buggy” Car was a great success with about 22 British cars in attendance.

Tampa Bay British Car Club’s Next Meeting is May 26. At Ben’s Paradise Restaurant at 443 Main Street Safety Harbor. Meeting starts at 7 PM, Come early for dinner and conversations (about 6:00 PM). Drive your British Car. Hope to see you there.

Have you checked out the Tampa Bay British Car Club’s “New” Regalia Store? Barrie Carson the TBBCC Regalia Officer now has a web page devoted to the TBBCC regalia. Go to Tampa Bay British Car Club Apparel or there is a link to the Regalia Store on the Club web site. Club shirts, Club Jackets, name badges and soon the Club Grill Badges can be ordered on line.

Drive Your British Car Week is May 28th to June 5th. Lets get those British Cars out on the road and attend a local Car show. We have to remind everyone "Classic cars are NOT just Hot Rods, Muscle Cars and Old Chevy’s”. There are several local car shows that week, see the “Events & Show” section, chose a show that is close to you and call some friends to join you. Fiona and I will be attending the Quaker Steak show on Thursday night, June 2nd.

June 12 will be the next Burger Quest at Maggie Mae’s, 2169 West Bay Dr., Belleair Bluffs 33770 at 1 PM. They are located in the same plaza as Bonefish Grille, just west of Belleair/Indian Rocks Rd. They have just added a new dining area where we’ll be seated. Plenty of close in parking and they are looking forward to see some of our fine cars. Join us for some great food and a good time!

Have you RSVP’ed for The Brits by The Bay Summer Picnic on June 25. The Tampa Bay British Car Club invites all area Car Clubs and everyone to its semi annual picnic at Phillippe Park, Safety Harbor Fl in Shelter #2. Starts at about 10:00 AM, Eats at noon and ends when the last car leaves. If your name begins with A to L please bring a dessert, M to Z bring an appetizer or side dish. TBBCC will provide Burgers, hot Dogs, drinks and all the fixings. Please RSVP to president@tampabaybritishcarclub.org

At both Tampa Bay British Car Club biannual picnics the Club gives away some very nice door prizes. These prizes include Club Regalia, Gift Certificates, Car Cleaning Products and much more. To be eligible for the door prizes you MUST attend the monthly Club Meetings. At the meeting you can get door prize tickets. These tickets are given to any member that has driven a British Car, one ticket for each day driven since the last Club meeting, that can be up to 31 tickets. And you get an extra ticket for attending the meeting. This “raffle” is to encourage everyone to drive his or her British Car. A British Car is defined as any mark that originated in Britain, both Classic and Modern Cars. You MUST be present at the picnic to win and all the tickets will roll over to the December picnic.

We are always looking for interesting places to go and things to do, So If you have an idea for an event, a Burger Quest location or a place to visit.
We are looking into doing a tour of one of the local Automobile Museums and having lunch after. But first we need an idea of the number interested in attending. Please contact me at president@tampabaybritishcarclub.org .

The Tampa Bay British Car Club’s Grill Badges. Those members that have pre-paid you can pick up your badges at any Club event or meeting. These are a must have for you Classic British Car or to decorate your “Man Cave”. These are heavy chrome with 4 Color Enamel Paint and look great. There are available at all Club events or contact me about arranging a special pick-up (Phil @ 727-420-0467) and are only $20.00. If you need the badges to be mailed, an additional $5.00 must be paid for postage and packaging. Any Club Officer can accept orders and payments. Or send a check payable to:

Largo, Fl 33774

The TBBCC Outstanding Member for the second Quarter of 2016 is: Steve Peterson who has been a long time Club Member and one of our strongest club supporters. He enjoys attending many of the Club events in his Classic Mini and for the last several years he has worked tirelessly cooking the Burgers at the Brits By The Bay Picnics. Next time you see Steve, Thank him for his efforts.

We are always looking for a Great Burger for the monthly Tampa Bay British Car Club’s Burger Quest. If you know where to get a GREAT Burger contact Mike Silvernail at mikenail41@live.com

Since many of the Tampa Bay British Car Club Members own “other” cars that were built in countries outside of England, we have decided to include these vehicles in the Clubs Rogues gallery. Any members that would like to have their British Car or “other” cars included in this Rogues Gallery, Please send a photo of YOU with Your Car. Include make, model, year and Your Name. Lets put a face and name with your car. And for all the old Chevy Owners we will have a Corvette Corner. Send photos to president@tampabaybritishcarclub.org
