Greetings from Norfolk!
Hello All,
I just bought a 1995 XJS. I will be seen driving around Norfolk/Virginia Beach a bunch from now on. I will be the crazy guy with the top down even though it's only 30 degrees outside.
I know I have seen a few people from Hampton Roads on here and I look forward to picking your brains and sharing any info from projects I complete. My future projects include new headliner on my convertible top, new stereo/speakers, new valve cover gasket. I welcome and appreciate any advice/pointers that anyone would be willing to share.

David, welcome to the group. Keep an eye on this section. We are looking to do a few get togethers here in the near future. Looking like at a minimum something up in Baltimore and then something out in the Charlottesville area in the fall. may be some other things in the area. If you ever need some assistance, let me know. Granted, I am about a 3 hour drive north of you in the southern tip of Maryland. But, I do make occassional trips down to Norfolk to head out to the beach and see Monsters on the Beach. I used to live down that way too (just off of Terminal in the navy housing there).
Welcome to the group. I think you will like it here.

Stillill, if you ever need any help with your car, I am south of Annapolis by about an hour (follow Rt 2 in MD). It might be the long way home for you, but if you want to stop by on the way home, just hollar. I can get most of the basic stuff done for you and even some of the more complicated stuff.

Thermo,
I am very familiar with Great Mills. I work in Pax River and Solomon's occasionally. Lovely countryside out there! Thanks again for you offer. Right now, I am just tackling the cosmetic stuff, but as soon as I start delving into the mechanicals, I will def be shooting you a line. Do you know anything about replacing the headliner on a XJS convertible top? That is my next job, and I am looking for any pointers. Which one to buy, how difficult it will be, lessons learned. Thanks in advance.

Stillill, I would have to look at the neighbors XJS and see what all is involved. I can't say that I have ever played with one. But then, I have a vast background and can make just about anything work.
P.S. I live about 2 miles up from Pax River NAS. If you know where the Walmart is near Pax River, I live right behind it.
