Northern VA - APOJ III, Fair Lakes - Sunday, May 4, 2014
Here's another excuse to drive your Jaguar, and meet other Jag enthusiasts!
We had a good response to our first two Pride of Jaguars events at Fair Lakes, last spring & fall. We're doing it again, and hope to have a great turnout of Jaguar cars at A Pride of Jaguars III (APOJ III).
We've picked Sunday, May 4 as the date, and will hold it again at the East Market At Fair Lakes shopping center, from 8:00AM to 10:00AM. The purpose of this special Jaguar event, which runs alongside the weekly Sunday Cars & Coffee in the Dick's Sporting Goods & Kohl's parking lot, is to bring together people who love Jaguar cars, all models.
Please RSVP to me, so I know approximately how many spaces to reserve. I am sure we will have a good time! We will once again have an optional brunch nearby afterwards, and I hope to have some surprises in store for attendees.

East Market at Fair Lakes, VA is about a 5 minute drive from the intersection of 66 & 50 in Fairfax, VA. We hold the Cars & Coffee events in front of the Starbucks in the East Market at Fair Lakes shopping center - there's also a Kohl's and a Dick's Sporting Goods in the complex. You can use your Nav system or MapQuest this parking lot, using the address for Kohl's -
12551 Fair Lakes Circle
Fairfax, VA 22033
Please forward to your Jaguar friends - we hope to see you there! We will have coupons for 15% off brunch at The Blue Iguana restaurant, right around the corner.

Use your imagination! Schwabe will drive one Jag a block, go back home and drive his second Jag 2 blocks, and repeat, until he's at the event. I considered this method before last year's Britain On The Green show, where I took the XK and my Elise. I had the good luck to have Clint Hyde volunteer to drive the XK, so it worked out - sort of. When we arrived at the (fairly large) British car show, the Jag group was at one end of a huge area, and the Lotus group was at the opposite end - they literally could not have been further apart, and still be on show grounds. It was a hike to go from one to the other, with my detailing supplies. The only way to get both cars in one picture would have been a satellite photo.

We are anticipating a good amount of Jaguars in attendance. We will have a drawing for attendees that bring Jaguar cars to the event.

Bob was there something like 5:45AM last Saturday. I got there at 7:15Pm and had to park in an overflow parking lot.
If you want to park upfront the earlier the better. But you will see cars coming and leaving until after 9AM.

Yes, for Katie's, on a good-weather Saturday, getting there after 6:30AM will sometimes, but not always, get you a parking space at the far end of the front lot. (That's one reason why I hold my single-marque events on Sundays, at Fair Lakes.)
I always enter from Georgetown Pike (193), down the street called 'Village Center', between the post office and BB & T Bank. Once you get to the stop sign at the bottom of the hill, you'll see the Katie's parking lot on your left.
