Default Scratches on drivers and passengers windows

Started noticing vertical scratches on both windows today 🥲 I did some research and saw that this was a common problem years ago. Apart from getting the window seal replaced, which if you’ve had it done out of warranty let me know how much it was, does anyone have any tips in preventing/cleaning rocks and debris being stuck in the windows? Thanks! Obligatory pic of the JAAAAAAG

If it was in warranty, here’s what the dealer would have done…

And I think your dog is asking if it’s his turn to drive yet.

How often do you wash the vehicle?

I kinda wonder if, at least in some cases, it could be tied to how clean folks are keeping their cars?

I saw one older F-type at a local car meet. It had all these light vertical scratches on the windows. Nothing deep, just light scratching. That suggests to me that it is general dirt build up on the seal over time that eventually becomes abrasive.

Rocks could lodge and do it too, but I would think that would be more isolated and potentially deeper scratching. The one I saw, the vertical scratching was pretty much uniformly everywhere on the window.

This is the one thing which lets me 2021 car down No idea why the deigned it with a channel which can catch debris. I had read the window seal design was changed\uprated on later cars but clearly not.

Not been brave enough to ask Jaguar how much a replacement window would be.
