But now a real db7 can be bought for under 30K so........I know it's not a vanquish but.....

 

Ok please,please forgive me but I just don't get it. All that trouble to build a replica when the XK8/R is beautful.

 

I could never make a replica for profit/sale. I dont know of anyone actually making money on these cars. Maybe the kit suppliers? A lot of the examples I've posted or seen turn out half *** looking - half *** efforts, cutting corners and just trying to make a quick buck.. I'm still going to do mine as race inspired... At least I have alot of what not to do ideas now. I actually like the XK8 look over the DB7! Vanquish wins for me though...

 

I just realized the bottom pic is a different car. Like how the front clip pivots vice cutting the hood out and grafting it on the original jag hood... Second pic showas a different rear diffuser I haven't seen before.

 

Well, looks like the kit car company that made my kit went under, not even a trace of them left. .. Sued by Lamborghini and they lost....

 

Came across a good deal on a DB7 Vantage. Still have the Vanquish kit car and one of these days I'll get around to finishing it!
