I don't have any experience with that shop; however, I have had tons of good experience with Patrick BMW in Schaumburg. I have purchased and had them service five or six BMW's over the last ten years........

I'm sooo sorry! I have been there myself. I had an 03' S-Type that was totalled last year by a semi. Over 16K in damages. Made me sick.... Only had it for 9 months. I now have a 2004 S-Type V-8. The main thing is that your ok. The semi wiped out my whole passenger side and my son who was 12 was sitting in the front passenger seat. Thank God he was ok... but if you would have seen the pictures you would have wondered how he made it out unharmed. Very scary... I stay clear of semi's now!

That's true.... they can be replaced and I did get another one. I couldn't see myself driving anything else after that. They get into your system and your hooked!

Nice, I live in Fox Lake. If you see a brooklands green x300 driving around, chances are it's me.

Hello

Just starting to post on the forum. My 04 just came off warranty so I am lurking around and learning. I am in the Darien/Willowbrook area.

I'm originally from the midwest so I was less than excited to be coming back to the frozen land section of the US. I was originally slated to go to Alabama and I was looking forward to that, since I like warm weather but oh'well.

It looks like all the post housing has a one car garage so I should be good there. Not that I'll ever have a car in it lol, it seems my garage always gets turned into a workshop with random car parts and projects strewn around it.

Believe me...... you will change your mind on the garage after a few times of having to go out and warm up your car, clean the snow off or scrape the windows! And after a couple of times of having your doors and windows freeze up you will say screw it she's going in the garage! lol That has been my experience lately. We had about 5" last night and tomorrow we have another system moving through that will bring snow with a mix of freezing rain.Three times I went through my banks drive through and couldn't get my window down because it was frozen! lol They must think I'm nuts because I pull in and pull right out. Gotta love winter in the midwest! [:@]... lol

Dennis - don't you miss all the snow, cold, wind, slush, salt, dirty windows, sloppy car...

Yesterday's snowfall and subsequent commute makes me happy I have the X-Type. At least I can commute in comfort and security. Someday I may head to a warmer climate.
