Drivers side seat reclines but will not decline (back up). all other functionality is there such as seat bottom moving up down, back and forth. Had a technician say it was the motor but have a few doubts, too lengthy to go into here.

can one replace this DIY?

 

It is NOT the motor. The seat module simply needs to be reprogrammed by your Jaguar dealer.
