Default JagPro in Bellemore, NY

I have been using JagPro in Bellemore, NY . Martin and his staff are great and his pricing is very reasonable. I have had him working on my 2004 XJR as soon as my warranty was up. You can reach them at 516-785-1500. Tell him Mark with the XJR sent you...

Default The Gas Menagerie

If you are in the Albany, NY area, you need to see Patrick O'reilly, He runs a small shop. but he has been working on Jags since the 60's and now he does Land Rover and Jags. I have been going to him for years and he can fix anything and honest as the day is long.

I bought a car from them and it was a junk...XJ8 required $1,000.00s or in repairs and their excuse was they didn't notice the defective parts. Thought the 10001 step checkout must have missed them all!

For the Washington DC area I recommend:

Overseas Imports
703-534-5400
101 Gordon Rd
Falls Church, VA 22046
They are behind Don Beyer Volvo. I've used these folks since 1978 and trust them completely. Ask for Rob. Tell him Bill Bell sent you. Link: http://overseasimports.biz/home.nxg

I have my Volvo technician (Independent garage) work on my Jaguars because they have the bearing/joint presses and other ancillary tools to perform similar repairs done on Volvos. I help diagnosis the problem and they expertly perform the repairs without failure.

Village Garage
Westport, MA.

I agree...- Be Careful! Third-Party Parts Used and failure to see obvious problems.

I worked for Jaguar at the dealers in Mass for 17 years I am a master Jag tech and I opened my own repair shop in Upton, MA almost 2 years ago. I can save you alot of money over the dealers, and I know Jags inside and out.
Thanks Dana

Dana, welcome to the forum and posting up your details here in the regional section.

We've got some really good 'tech certified' badged members, probably 6 or so really active, but there's always room for the experts like yourself around here. I encourage you, your free-time pending of course, to hop in and aid in the troubleshooting and repairs the members encounter. I've heard the other technicians say more than once, that this particular forum challenges them in areas that they are not often experienced in, and keeps them sharp in general. Once or twice, they've even admintted to learning a thing or two from their participation in these forums.

If we mods see your post count increase, I'll be the first to recommend the 'badge' be assigned to your profile to identify your unique jag tech qualifications.

I put my email address on the post so if any wants to ask me a question they can. I am a member of JANE and run tech sessions for the members, I put their cars up on the lifts and show them where problems are and answer questions they have.

Any good places for mechanical work, muffler work in the South NJ area; Cherry Hill, Burlington, Phila is a good geographical location.

Dana- where were you when I lived in Hopedale and had a 69 XKE and a 70 XJ6? Had to run down to Providence to get parts.......Anyway, now that I live in Warwick RI Fred's Autohaus on West Shore Rd. Warwick is a great shop. A guy who listens to what you say and will discuss your case before fixing the car. Mostly does MB and BMW but knows his stuff. He's used my parts when I got over my head and needed his help.

I am off school for the summer, and will be doing a bit more wrenching. If you need repairs, contact me. I can't do it all, as I do not have access to a lift...but I can handle most of your needs. PM me if you need some help.

I am replying in this thread because it is closest to me in location. I am at Land Rover Wilmington. I would like to build a little Jag work in the shop. Great small dealership with a highly reputable shop. We fix a lot of other dealership errors. I encourage anyone who is in the Philadelphia region to contact me for questions, work, someone I could recommend even. I have access for all things Jag, IDS/SDD, Topix/GTR etc.. and even obtain my own parts (Jag and aftermarket) cause I don't want anyone screwing up what I need for my customers. I don't currently have the facilities for side work at home but hopefully my next house will have a garage!!!!
