Default Cars & Coffee @ the Oasis?

I am moving to Austin in July. Already sent my registration to Austin Jag' club. I think I read somewhere that Austin's Cars and Coffee is held every second Saturday of the month at the Oasis? Is that true? Who attends? I will be living a few minutes away from there - which is great news. I have been attending Cars & Coffee here in Cary NC, and previously in Calabasas, CA.

Cheers

Hey Brian I just saw your post. I'm returning to Waco after 5 years in the Huntsville, AL area. In fact, I'm in Waco now. But not really moved yet.

Some of the Alfa guys in Austin I've been friends with for years have been going to the one at the Oasis and liked it. I hear it's quite popular, but a lot of big Detroit iron.

We have one every first Saturday in Austin at Mozart's Coffee Roasters and you're more than welcome there, too. In fact anyone reading the mail here is welcome. Mozart's opens at 0830. The Alfa Romeo club started it but we never intended it to be marque specific. We wanted it to be for car guys, not necessarily just for cars. Lately we've been having Ferraris, BMWs, Corvettes, kit cars, you name it, show up. Good to have a Jag there.

You'll probably hear sooner or later about the Rolling Sculpture Car Show in Austin. That was started by the Mozart's coffee meeting group.

Welcome to Texas.

Hi Larry - thank you for your note! I look forward to meeting up at the various events. I am a big Alfa Romeo fan too (and member of the club, need to move my registration to TX). I don't own any Alfa today, only a Jag. Before moving to NC from CA some 4 years ago, I had a 1986 Spider (daily driver) and 1973 GTV (restoring). Had to sell, sadly.

Cheers

Brian, Texas Hill Country Chapter is very active, email chains, newsletter, spring and fall driving tours, club racers, track day. You'll like it there, I'm sure.
