Me too.Recently bought my first one, I was a bit fed up with Mercs and Beemers.

I'm game to drive down from Dallas. I haven't had my "R" on a road trip yet, since purchasing in September. Let's work it out. Happy Holidays!

That 85 limit may after the study is implemented , be posted on ih10 between MM 62- which is the start of Hudspeth County all the way till mm 520ish, which should be a bit past junction still on Ih10.

For now the speed limit is still 80, but then again each town is 120 miles away from each other, with not much inbetween.
Hence why its called the Texas Autobahn, cause everyone speeds just to get somewhere

Congrats HumbleJag. There is nothing like the beltway late at night to stretch out the legs on the Cat. Lets see some pics? Welcome to the forum. Enjoy

Add one down in Friendswood! Agreed on letting the cat stretch its legs on the Beltway!

Default Why there are more Jags in Texas

For new Jags we have one of the best economies in the US," Texas has the third-most millionaires of any state, with 381165" (not including the billionaires) . And I believe one reason older Jags are changing markets to lower income families is because of a misunderstood design change ... Zero loss transmissions! If you don't have a dipstick tube it doesn't mean you will never loose fluid, it only means you won't be able to check it when loss does occur through the same seals and gaskets that loose fluid in one with a dipstick tube. With that in mind I've seen dozens of Jags for sale around Dallas and Fort Worth with Transmission problems, some for less than 3 or 4 car payments! I bought my 2000 S-type 3.0 with a bad transmission last year and drove it to "death". I now look for Jags and see them every time I go to D/FW, and am anxiously awaiting for my Ford parts on order so I can finish rebuilding my first automatic transmission, which is out of a 2000 Lincoln LS 3.0.

When looking to purchase my new(all be it used) Jaguar, I found that the Houston Area had more for sale than the Dallas area. As a matter of fact, I am heading to Houston from Waco to go pick up my new baby on Wednesday

I am here, North Dallas Coit and Campbell area.......

Any cruises or GTG in Texas would be welcome.

On Friday nights I hang out with the mega HP street racers at GB and coit road. Typical Lambo's Vettes, Mustangs, GTR's etc.

Its more of a hang out than real street racing.

800-1200hp cars are the norm.

9-12 on friday behind the wells fargo bank.

Hello all, I bought my first Jaguar today, a 1997 XK8 convertible. I live in northwest Houston just south of Jersey Village, and work in the Galleria area. Looking forward to getting know fellow Jag owners!
