Default More Jaguars in Texas

I would say in the last year, I have noticed a large increase in the number of Jaguars, both new and older, in Texas.

I've always felt that Houston is a Merc and BMW city, but it seems that people are coming to their senses and I'm seeing more and more.

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that?

I've had mine for over 3 years now, and I haven't noticed any more on the streets..I look so I can waive, but I've noticed more joining up on here than ever before, and alot of them are from TX...now that is an odd statistic.

I agree that Houston looks like a BMW and Mercedes city. They're everywhere. In my downtown 10 story office building parking garage though I can find a 2008 XK coupe, 2005 XJ, an XF and then my 2006 XKR. On a typical day in traffic (1 hr each way for me), I'm lucky if I see one other Jag on the road.

Default Hi Line Auction

Manheim has a Hi Line Auction every week here in the DFW area, right near DFW airport. Many lease returns come through that auction line and end up on the roads in Dallas. That's one reason you see a lot of Jags here.

By the number of recent member additions from Texas, I think there may be a few more around.

Default Another XK8 2002 on the road

Hi Everyone,

I have a Jaguar XK8 2002 in Frisco, TX.

Do we have any active clubs in the DFW area?

Houston has its fair share. There are 3 in my company's parking lot alone - a 2010 XKR, an 09 XJ, and my 09 XF SC - and we only have about 250 employees. Of course I do work in oil & gas so that also explains the 4 Porsches and various BMW's and MB's out there too. Oh gotta love those yearend bonuses!

Hello All,

You can add me to the list as well. I have a 2002 S Type 3.0. living in Kennedale (That's Arlington for you outsiders, lol). Also looking for a good independent mechanic. I currently go to Autobahn (Lee Letts) who is pretty good, but the dealer is expensive. I am looking to make some mild upgrades to the car (wheels, audio, paint touch up, rear view camera, and possibly exhaust). Would love to talk shop with other DFW members about their expereinces.

Default Yes we are here !!

Southwest Houston here..Hwy 6 and Bellaire. I've had my 95 XJS for about 5 years now. A year or two ago I saw my exact same car in the lane next to me. Same color, same make, same model. I was excited , yet strangely territorial to see an identical twin strutting down the same streets I do. Like how dare this person rain on my parade. This quickly dissipated when I noticed the twin had a flat Jaguar emblem on the hood and I had the Jaguar cat ornament , somehow winning me that round. I never saw it again after that, much to my dismay.

I have been driving Jags in Houston for 10 years and I have not seen an increase in Jag presents. Although I do not think that is a bad thing. There are Benz and BMW's all over the place. I kind of like the exclusivity.
