Hello all,

I just bought a 90 XJ6 4.0 as my commuter two weeks ago, I'm pretty stoked. I finally get to drive, I just moved down here and didn't have a car and I got the opportunity for this thing and jumped on it. Its got some issues on the interior but my main focus as of now is getting her all running smooth and happy, questions:

Check eng came on two days prior to high pitched screeching on ignition and acceleration, pretty sure something related to alternator. Any suggestions on a good replacement brand?

Does anyone know of a place that can read OBD codes in Rockwall?

I ordered a Haynes Manual, was that even worth it? I ordered it before I found this site and now I think I won't use it all that much.

Cool just wanted to get a post on here. Should get back to work haha

Hello hbeluse. Welcome to the Forums.

Check in this forum for your specific model for advice and information on your XJ6.

Can't comment on the Haynes Manual, but you might check this thread for insight into other service manuals available (it's a little hard to read, though).

Good luck, and welcome once again.
