Is this open to non-JCNA members? I assume so but looked on the announcements and didn't see for sure. Thanks.

All JCNA events are open to the public but if you participate you will need to sign up as a day member in each event (slalom, rally, concours). As far as space and reservations the affiliate club would be your contact. Last word I heard this weekend is things are filling up and some things already full. I saw your comment re: hotel cost--that is not the club rates that have been arrived at. Hope to see you there.

Thanks. We signed up for some of the Santa Barbara and Solvang events. I got straight on the hotel too and booked a couple nights there. We used to live in Santa Barbara--over 40 years ago, when we had an XK-150--and are really looking forward to the trip!

Does anyone here know who the auto broker was, who had a line of Jaguars for sale, across the street (with a Ford GT40 at the head of the line)? Was he a Santa Barbara broker or nearby? One of the cars in the line was a Jaguar Mk IX. A Santa Barbara friend is considering a Mk IX that's out of state but has not even sat in one. Checking out the local one, if there is such a thing, would be potentially helpful to him.

Thanks for any assistance,

Granville

PS What a great show! I ended up leaving my Jag back in the parking lot as it was all scratched and dirty but I really enjoyed the show and meeting a lot of very kind and welcoming, enthusiastic fellow Jag owners! Also great to be back in Santa Barbara and Santa Ynez Valley, both former homes.

Granville I spoke with the young guys that were with the cars. The "broker" is also a maint. and rest. shop very near by. contact the LA club as they know. Evidently they discovered the event too late but were invited to set up where you viewed them!

If it is local to Santa Barbara, it is probably a shop called Winning Makes

Yes, those cars were from a local restoration garage called "Winning Makes". I took a look around their facility one day during the event, and was impressed after a lengthy chat with one of the floor mechanics. I'll probably take my '69 E-Type there next time she needs some work done.
