Thumbs up Next BAJr's meet :: Over the Bridge

Next Bay Area Jaguars (BAJr's) meet:

Date --> 18th Aug (Sunday) --> 7 weeks from now (I originally had 25th Aug, but there is absolutely no accommodations anywhere on those dates, but 18th looks wide open for the hotels)

Location --> Somewhere North of the Golden Gate Bridge

Format --> Use "proudly found elsewhere" technique, ie copy DaveC and MarcB.

There will be a dinner on the Saturday night, for the folks that will be staying overnight and making a weekend of it. Sunday morning will be a drive. Then Sunday lunch. I also want to try and add "something else" but the previous acts will be extremely hard to beat.

Folks can do all parts, some parts, or one part, as happened in our Carmel adventure. There the real Jaguar enthusiasts got drunk the night before AND got up early in the morning and did the drive. Others meanwhile slept in and joined us for lunch :-)

Let's at least get the date locked down first......

Who's in ?

PS : We want to get more new folks in on the fun this time....... so don't be shy

Checking the date. The location looks great. Haven't had the Jag over that way yet. I can hear the ocean and wineries calling!

Ok guys, emails sent out to the following members......

AK - 286
CA - 2695
NV - 208
OR - 3618
UT - 588
HI - 1511
WA - 926
ID - 914

So around 10746 members emailed in total!!

I'm not sure how many are still active or interested, but the message is out there with a link to your recent meet thread, so we'll see what / if any reaction we get from it.

I'd hope you get a response of sorts and we can see where it goes from there.

I fully realise the geographics and distances that may be involved, and obviously this particular meet may not suit everyone, but its out there

Its an experiment of sorts, so fingers crossed you get the reaction you want.

Not to burst anyone's bubble, But the 2013 Monterey Historics and the Pebble Beach Concours are taking place that weekend.

Along with all the other festivities going that week, I think it may put a dent in participation.

I know it will mean I will not be able to attend :-(

Cheers!

I'd be great if something can get organized closer to Southern Califrnia. I'm certain that there are more tan enough members in the are to make it a colorful event. However, based on my past results in trying to get anything organized here and seeing the success the northern cal owners are having with their events I can completely understand why the upcoming event is organized closer to that area.

Count me in for this one. . . A nice Sunday drive with the group through the Napa/Sonoma region would be awesome.

Smile Bay Area Meet

A couple of bridges too far from San Diego County for my and the XK8. My wife and I have been serving a mission for the LDS Church since last November, but we would love to make it to a local Saturday meet. All I get are parade requests to carry a "princess";-)
