Cool Puzzled

I have 2 jaguars. 1 is a 1996 xj6 4.0
The other is a 2000 xj8 bad heads. Will the engine from the xj6 fit in the xj8 engine bay?

Yes. In fact either engine will go in either car since they shell of the X300 (XJ6 95 to 97) is the same as the X308 (XJ8 98 to 2003)

Although they would physically fit, you would have a lot to do in terms of electronics, plumbing etc which I think would make the job more effort than its worth

Welcome to the forum Cory,

Physically fitting is the least of the problem. As Sarc has said, a massive amount of work to tranpose the engine management system.
