A group of us will be cruising through the mountains on October 25th and I thought it would be fun to have a British contingent join. I wave the flag as the sole Jaguar XKR amongst a field of BMWs and a few others (Genesis, G35, Porsche Carrera GT occasionally, the odd other exotic from time to time).

Here are the details:

Date - October 25, 2014
Meet-Up Location - 809 N Azusa Ave, Azusa, CA (Far side of the Target parking lot)
Arrive- 4:30pm
Departing- 5:00pm (SHARP)
ROUTE: Highway 39 - EAST FORK - BACKSIDE GMR - FRONTSIDE GMR (GLENDORA)

I will be there armed with cameras and trusty steed. Depending on light I may skoot ahead when we leave East Fork and photograph everyone as they pass my regular corner. No flash (I promise)

Damn the one weekend I'm out of town... I want to meet up with some Jag owners and do a cruise. Just not available this weekend...

 

Sounds great. I'll be there. My one dilemma is which XKR should I bring? Coupe or convertible? I'll choose one and meet up, maybe I'll bring a friend to drive the other one.

I am working in Pasadena that day and will try to make it. Sounds great!

 

Met up with Nick and Tim last evening to make a three Jaguar contingent in an otherwise all BMW and one Aston Martin Vantage group for a late afternoon run through the San Gabriel Mountains. Fast and fun with a couple of casualties. A BMW M6 had to pull over, apparently burning oil and a BMW M5's driver lost control and veered a bit off the road striking the side of the mountain and blowing a tire and the right side of his front valance.

 

A fun event indeed - very nice to meet Ted and Nick. My XJ VDP was a bit 'floaty' in the corners, no surprise there, but wow what a road. I could feel my VDP audibly emit a sigh of relief when we cruised home on the nice, level, straight 210 freeway; grace, space, pace.

 

would love to attend. just pick a date, time and address for location.

Hey everyone, maybe just after New Years, we can put together a meet and greet. I had hoped to put something together for this month but, unfortunately, I had two deaths in my family within 24 hours about 10 days ago, and I had to arrange two funterals along with housing many of the relatives that came in from out of town.

But I'll start working on a date and venue for January and let everyone know.

Hello all, I picked up my F-Type Coupe R last month. I help lead a monthly drive in the canyons and mountains around Los Angeles but that is usually fairly large and I think I've seen only one Jag with us in the 2 years I've been doing it.

I would love to join up with a smaller Jag group too. So count me in on the next meetup.
