The tires that came with my 94 XJ6 are to put it bluntly Crap. So before Winter sets in here the S/W at 7000 feet I will be needing a new set.
I want an all season that has a little more bite to it and my choices are the Kumho ASX or the Continental DWS. Yes neither is a snow tire and odds are if there is more than 3/4 of an inch on the ground I wont get to the house with either of them but it will get m close enough to either tow it home up the hill or to a good place to park the car. The preference being the former.
My preference is the DWS as i have had them on my Volvo and thy seem to be a really good tire BUT they are not available in a 225-60 only a 225-55 vs the Kumho which is.
I am probably splitting hairs but I like the way the 60s fill the wheel well and am wondering if the 1 in diameter difference will look odd. I did see the xjs came with 55s and thy look ok but I am open to discussion.
