Dear all, do you have any suggestions for me on how I can make the rims in the picture look nice again? It seems to have some surface oxidation as well as some chipping.
My solution is to bead blast and then powder coat the wheels in the color you want. In the US this is very common and most towns have powder coat shops because gouging your rims is so very common these days. What I like about that is powder coating is fixable. I have had all 4 of my XJ rims redone twice so far. AND if you want you can change the color too.
Your in Germany so not sure how common powder coating rims are but I bet it's common over there too.

thank you very much for your feedback. I found a company here near me (R-Poliertec – Oberflächenveredelung), and I will inquire there next week.
You are both absolutely right, a professional solution will probably be best.
Hi guys, here are two fotos from my 30 years old rims. It's in northern Germany. I highly recommend it. Web: www.r-poliertec.de. Nice guy and fair prices.
Thanks for the pictures showing those excellent results! They are so clean it will be a shame to get them all covered in road grime!
I think he even redid the black paint in the pockets too.
