I am new to this forum and am probably asking for information on an already much discussed question.

I live in Peterborough Ontario, so my car is only driven seasonally and is garaged for much of the year. I need to replace the rather cracked Michelin tires currently on my car before leaving on a trip to Florida this fall. Could I ask what folks on the forum use on a standard 17" XK8 wheel. I prefer a comfortable, quiet ride as opposed to something someone might mount for autocross. My mechanic says that Michelin tires are fine if you use them every day, but they deteriorate a bit too fast if the car is stored for winter.

Also, does anyone have a source for new wheel bolts.
