Default what kind of tires are comfy for 2004 x-type?

i am thinking about replacing tires, i went to the tirerack.com and i found the highest rated tires: Continental Extreme DWS, for my 2004 x-type 3.0 V6 and size: 225/45/17

they are top rated, but i want to know how do they work on jaguar? are they quiter than other? they are in reviews but i want to know from the jaguar owners

if not what else tires u recommend that has been been good/comfy/less niosy for jaguar?
and i live in kansas city,mo so i experience DWS

and i heard a myth that if u change your tire sizes it gives better performance and less noisy, what do u have to say to that?

any different brands, ideas, tips, advises, recommendations, speaking from experience are highly welcomed here

thanks in advance
