Looking to buy
I'm looking to buy my 1st Jag. I'm looking at 2 of them 1 is a 2002 S-type 80k miles other is 2004 with 95k miles. 2004 slightly cheaper. Other then Trans 2004 being a 6 speed and 2002 being a 5 speed anything else different.
Not sure which to go less miles or 6 speed and both sale color inside and out and have clean service recorders.

They changed the transmission to the German ZF6HP26 also .... From Wiki check the cars that share that .. Rolls, Maserati,Bently etc.

I own both pre- and post- facelift S-Types (2001 & 2003). I can tell you the post-faelift 2003 is way better than the '01 in so many ways. I would get the newer one. Too many changes/improvements to list.
