New Quirky Thing - mechanically, the locks work. Sitting in the car, I can lock them, and both front doors will unlock all doors when exiting the car, so I know the actuators are working. With the key I can mechanically lock the driver's door, but the "double lock" won't lock the rest, nor will it roll the windows up like it used to (holding the key towards the lock position until they raise). With the fob they suddenly won't lock, but the lights flash and the second push of the button sets the alarm. Pushing the unlock button, I can hear all actuators working, but they aren't locked anyway. WTH is going on here?

 

Rudy, it sounds like your drivers door cable is binding up a little bit and it isn't rolling the lock in the driver's door quite far enough which is causing the rest to not go. The X has a sequential locking system. So, when the driver's door stops, the rest won't go. You may need to put a little bit of machine oil in the cable to the lock and see what happens then.

 

Thanks Thermo, I think you nailed it! Sorry for not posting back sooner. I found that when I get out of the car and all doors unlock, you can still move the lock lever enough to feel a bit more travel. When I pull that extra bit, it works every time! Now to dig out my old laptop for the JTIS on it....
