100K warranty?

Ok so I bought my car used from a BMW dealer at 33K miles. The owner before me purchased it used from a Jag dealer as a Jaguar Select Certified vehicle.
Recently I went to the Jag dealer for maintenance. They told me that, with my car at 40K miles, my warranty expires at 45K miles.
But today I called the real Jaguar company for other reasons, and they asked my VIN. I gave it to them, and they said its a Select vehicle that has a warranty until 100K miles.
Does this sound right? is the dealer trying to screw me?

Hey there ohnoe...........I'd say your dealers havin a laugh mate. Its the car that has a 100k warranty on it irrelevant of who the owner is.
Go back to them and tell them that you've been speaking to the Jag dealer, better still, get them to call them while you're there.
Failing that, move dealer if possible as they're tryin to pull a fast one!

Thats funny ohno, did you ever go back and whip some ****? That cars covered to 100k no matter who owns it (I'd imagine theres only so many times you can transfer it but you were the next in line.)

Ohno.........tell you what.
I got a used Mondeo years ago.......good deal on it, 9 months old blah blah blah........was due for a service shortly after. Took it in and the dealer told me that it had an extended warranty and also 2 years free servicing deal, which they honoured.
It may be different over there, but, I doubt it.
