2.0 diesel x type problem
i have just bought an x type 2.0 diesel estate 2005 and it has developed a problem
the coil light has started to flash and it has started to smoke more noticable at night
when the coil light flashes it goes in to limp mode but when i restart the car its fine for a bit but it has lost all power twice and i had to stop at the side of the road
can any one help me at all

This could be anything from fuel rail pressure problems to loose hose connection(s) to injector problems,egr valve etc etc
This forum being USA based so most on here dont have the diesel as it was never available over there
If you search the UK forum there have been a number of posts in the X Type section with your symptoms coming from a number of causes but all with loss of power, glow light and most with smoke.
First thing to do is get the codes read which could well pinpoint the cause
