Default 2.0d wont start

i have a 2004 x type tht wont start, it cut out at a roundabout and now refuses to start. It turns over fine with no untoward noises but just refuses to start. I have checked the inertia switch and thats fine and theres plenty of fuel in the tank. Everything else works fine i cant see any reason for it to not start.

HELP

Ok the car is now running after bleeding the fuel system and fiddling with pump module fuse and a couple of relays.

When you drive it the engine sounds like the pump timing is out and the engine doesn't get hot needle barely rises above the blue section but not even reaching the next mark.

Anybody had similar symptoms or got any ideas how to cure the problems.

when was the car last serviced?
how old is your fuel filter?
where did you get your fuel, was it at tesco/asda or the like sometimes they have bad fuel batches, I always try to avoid the supermarket fuels as they are hit and miss.

Hi Paul I finaly got it going but it was running very rough and had bad deisel knock which turns out to be no2 injecter overfueling. So now going to change no2 injecter and get injecters recoded.
Fuel was from a Shell station and the fuel filter is new so hopefully be back in action soon.
