2.5 and 3.0 Differential interchangeable?

Default 2.5 and 3.0 Differential interchangeable?
Anyone know if the 3.0 x-type differential is the same as 2.5, I need to replace but need to know if the 2.5 diff can be fitted to 3.0.

Help!!

I believe that from the transmission back, it is the same on either version of engine.

After checking the JTIS CD service manual..it makes NO distinction between the differential and axles of either the 2.5L or 3.0L engines..Like I said before, I believe that from the TRANSMISSION BACK, IT IS the SAME on either version of the engine..They should be interchangeable

Call a dealer if you still have doubt.

I agree with Colt. I checked the JTIS manual and came to the same conclusion.
