Default 2002 X-Type Washer Jet Replacement

I recently ordered a new set of washer jets for my 02 X-Type, the ones mounted on the hood or "bonnet", and am wondering if there is any trick to removing the old ones and installing the old ones. I am going to pick them up at the dealership on Tuesday, just wanting to figure everything out before I try to install them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Will

The windshiled (screen) washer jets or the headlamp washer jets???

What exactly is wrong with them?

the ones for the windshield. the nozzles are broken where the rubber hose meets the plastic piece under the hood. the previous owner tried to fix them with electrical tape, to no avail. they don't spray and just dribble on my hood when i try to wash the windshield. just trying to figure out how to replace them.

YOU TAKE A SMALL STANDARD SCREW DRIVER AND PUSH IN THE THE ENGINE SIDE OF THE HOOD ON THE TAB, AND THEY POP RIGHT OUT. WHEN YOU GET THE NEW ONES IN YOUR HAND YOULL SEE WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT AND POICK UP A INLINE 1 WAY CK VALVE TOO AS THESE BREAK OFF TOO.THE BIGGER FUN IS GETTING THE LITTLE PIECES OF BROKEN PLASTIC TUBING OUT OF THE HOSE, USE A PIC!

Brutal is absolutley right! I just went thru this, the plastic must get very brittle with age and the heat. My clips on the old one actually broke off and the jet just fell out. Just becareful not to damage your hood. But as Brutal said, you will see how they come off by looking at the new clips. The parts in the hose, be carefule getting them out - I actually broke part of the hose and no wit is just long enough to make things work. I will replace it when I get out to the autoparts store again. Good luck!

BROKEN. Hose has one jagged piece of plastic in it, while the opposite matching piece of jagged plastic is still on bonnet(hood). Was thinking about super-gluing it.

ooops, missed the BROKEN bit, it must have been followed by too many other words i didn't read. chose to drink and skip every other word.

Glue won't work. But you can have fun trying.
