Hi
I'm considering buying this car, but I've heard that there is a lot of problems with the gear breaking down. One salesman told me he had 8 cases where he had to replace the gear-box since last summer.
Canthis betrue?
Regards

I thought I mentioned everything in the topic title.
It was a different salesman who told me this, not the one who have the 4x4 automatic.
He said he didnt sell 4x4 automatics because of the major faults with the transmission.

I dont know about the X having a problem, but AWD and part Time 4x4 do have more problems than you standard FWD and are more expensive to fix. But with every car ever made there will be problems some different some the same.
I had the same engine problem with the3 oldsmoblies i owned, all different year and models. Either its just bad luck, the way i drive, or old's suck?
If you like the car buy it every car will break eventually
