2004 Cell Phone
I think I saw part of an answer to this, and excuse the newbee here, if it's already asked but...
I'm getting my 2004 this week and trying to figure all of this out.
Does the cell phone function work with anything current? Or is it a decoration now?
Thanks!

I'm not getting mine from a Jag dealer...the closest one is about 300 miles away.
It looks like, I'd have to get the Motorola and have my service provider activate it.
My phone now is not a blue tooth, so I don't guess a Parrot upgrade would help.
On myTop Ten "to do" list, this is about an 8. It kinda bothers me though, to have the wiring ....buttons and the steering wheel controls, and not be able to use it somehow.

I am not disagreeing but we have had many customers complain because they cannot get anyone to support the phone anymore, including T-Mobile. It may be a regional thing?
Jamey, your car is not Bluetooth prewired. Only Voice activation prewired.

so did you guys ever figure out anything with the phone? when i push on the phone button it says no phone. lol i just figured it is like a "On Star" kind of subscription and didn't worry about it. Is it something like that?
The phone button will say no phone on audio if the car does not have the phone installed. If not bluetooth prewired, only system for the car is the Jag cradle for Motorola V60. It is hands free, but not bluetooth and is no longer a supported phone.
I have been reviewing the wiring schematics and feel it is hardly deasible to try and rewire the entire vehicle to accept bluetooth. There is a kit out right now that you can wire into the vehicle if you have premium sound, ie Amplifier. There is a harness that will plug in line with the amp and allows your bluetooth phone to mute audio when it rings and also the sound to come through the speakers. This is the closest to factory I have found. You would have to get something like this: http://direct.motorola.com/ens/carkits/learn-T605.html
