Default 2004 X-Type Heated Seat not working

The passenger side heated seat in my 2004 X-Type isn't working. The drivers side is fine.

Does anyone know the fix for this. I am hoping it is just a relay or fuse.

Anyone know what to look for to diagnose the problem.

Thanks
dB

When I saw the title I immediately thought it would be a fuse problem. Go into your manual and check the interior fuse box and exterior fuse box. I have the power turn on switch for my subs wired into my cigarette lighter and I've had it blow a fuse once, which caused my trunk latch to go out. With anything electrical, check all of your fuses before you decide to tackle the problem at hand. Sure, it might take 20 minutes to check your fuses, but then you know exactly what you are dealing with. I have learned that fuses are key after I had an 89 crx keep blowing ecu fuses and causing it not to start.

You also have the heated seat module which is under the seat, these do sometimes go.

Default More Info

All though I haven't fixed it yet, I have found that the fuses to check in the 2004 are the F7 and F8 on the internal fuse block.

As my Drivers seat one works I will also try switching the drivers and passenger heater module under the seat.

Also there is Service Bulletin XT501-32 available at:
S-Type TSB

This mentions a problem with the passenger seat heater selector switch having an intermittent problem.

Thanks for posting that up.

If / when you do get around to it and find the issue and repair it, don't forget to drop back here and post as FIXED. This'll help some other poor soul in the future and help to immortailise you in the process ....lol

I had the exact same problem on my 2004 X. They replaced the seat switch on the passenger side. Evidently, the power for the seat heater goes through that switch. Hope this helps.
