2005 Jaguar X-Type
Hello guys,
I need serious help. I have a 2005 Jaguar X-Type that has only 67,492 miles. The car started to jerk when I accelerate and the RPM drops when I stop. I changed the spark plugs but the issue is still there. Here is the list of codes I am getting. Where to start?
p1111
p1316
p0306
p0305
p0304
p0303
p0300
p0174
p0171

Welcome to the forums. You have come to the right place. There are a lot of friendly and helpful people on here willing to help.
Based on having the P1111 code, I would guess teh problem is intermittent and probably a vacuum leak. The most likely causes of vacuum leaking are teh IMT O-rings, the brake booster check valve and the PCV breather hose. All of them are easy and cheap to fix and something you could easily tackle yourself and be done within 15 minutes. Or also the intake manifold gaskets as well. Do a quick search on here as there is a ton of information on each one of those things.
What you might want to do is clear all the codes and then check again and see what comes up as some of those could be older ones that are no longer present.

Can you recommend a place where i can buy those parts. So far none of my local parts stores carry those parts.
The engine is a Ford 3.0 (2.5) and you may find a lot of parts in local parts stores for the Ford engine that are interchangable. A lot of the Jag parts have a Ford part number on them.
If you are after the o-rings, check out: 2 Pcs Intake Manifold IMT Air Control Valve O Ring Gasket Seal Set for Jaguar | eBay.
Another option is to call up JPLV (aka, Gaudin Jaguar/Porsche in Las Vegas). THye can get you the o-rings for pretty cheap.
As for the intake o-rings, there are 2 different sets that you need. Both are made by Felpro. Tell your local auto parts place you need Felpro gasket kits "MS96485" and "MS96494". That will be 12 o-rings (6 of each kind). Should be able to get out the door for under $40 for the 2 kits.
