2009 X-Type is here....but Bye Bye US Market :-(
Jaguar announces the redesigned X-Type with some nice pictures, and 5 minutes later announces that car will no longer be available in the US after March 2008. This for sure is a sad, sad day for all of us in the States.

Manual does offer more drivers enjoyment and a feeling of increased participation in the driving experience Spartan................with you there bro.
Although I have found myself being strangely drawn to autos recently.......I'm gettin worried

You understand with quality issues at hand, buying a one-off one year car is about the least on someone's to do list that wants to be able to get parts even slightly reasonably in price.

Hey One........I'm not sure I understood what you were trying to say and or who it was directed to?
Can you please explain further?
Jim
You're buying a one year only car. Availability on parts will be null aftermarket or used. Prices will be through the roof due to scarce supply.
This car is vastly redesigned, not even the same shifter was used. They will produce it for one year. You're asking for trouble buying into parts that will only be freely circulated for one year. When ford sells jag you'll really have a hard time, as if the aforementioned was not bad enough.

Hey one, the model isn't being sold only for one year? Where did you hear that? The model is being dropped from the US market along with the S-type and Jaguar expects for the XF to make up for the lost sales of both the S and X type. The X will continue to be sold in the foreign market. The current model, will be sold here until May of 2008.
Yeah, it's old fashioned more correctly quite resembles Series II and a bit strecthed Rover 75 to the side view.
Especially those taillights are ugly

Man parts are already expensive I could only imagine that...I'd imagine with that the insurance for that year x would be way more than any other as the parts would probably be outrageous...
One, you're not getting it. The current model that has been sold for like the past 6-7 years is the one that will be sold for one more year, so there will be readily available parts. That new X-type will be sold starting in 2009 in the foreign market.
Sucks we wont even see her...man those people on that site are quite irritating...they are rating it and saying smack about it but don't own one...I find that funny. Smack talking the awd system? WTF??? I thought the awd system is awesome...way better than every other 4 wd vehicles I've ever driven...
